From 6 April 2023 the maximum amount for a week’s pay for the purpose of calculating a statutory redundancy payment increased from £571 to £643. The maximum amount for a week’s pay for the purpose of calculating the basic award for unfair dismissal also increased from £571 to £643.
From the same time, the maximum compensatory award for unfair dismissal increased from £93,878 to £105,707.
The key date for determining whether an increase applies is when the employment ends.
