About Matt Gingell:

I am a specialist employment lawyer and leading legal commentator. I advise on all aspects of employment law, regularly write (with articles published in the Independent, the Guardian and City AM) and have been interviewed on Sky News.

I have also written various guides for employers and employees on employment law topics, which can be downloaded.

I practise employment law with clients mostly based in London. I have considerable experience as an employment lawyer, gaining knowledge at different firms. This has spanned over 16 years, working with employers and employees – and resolving disputes of all kinds. Previously to Gannons Solicitors, my current firm, I spent over 6 years at a niche employment law firm in the City.

I handle all employment law including litigation in the employment tribunal and other courts. I have a particular interest in advising senior executives on exit strategies.

For many years I have been writing articles and commentating in national papers who turn to me when they need expert comment on high profile legal matters. It is with great pride that I work with these papers to inform at national level.

Work and clients:

I act for businesses on a whole range of HR matters including redundancy and restructuring, restrictive covenants, discrimination issues, grievance and disciplinary procedures and TUPE.

I also act for individuals, regularly advising senior employees and directors on exit strategies, compensation packages and settlement agreements.

So why instruct me?

I have a genuine depth of employment law, am commercially aware and have an unstuffy style. I love practicing law, and get huge satisfaction from finding solutions.

If you feel that you would benefit from taking some legal advice when it comes to your situation, I would be delighted to discuss it with you. Please contact me by email or give me a call.
